More than a hundred businessmen discuss the challenges of business associationism in Aerópolis

The objective of the conference was to present the challenges that business associations, whether sectoral or territorial, are currently facing

On December 20 the meeting 'The Challenges of Business Association' took place in the Aerópolis Business Center, organized by the magazine`Andalucía Económica´,

with the sponsorship of Prodetur and the collaboration of the Confederation of Employers of Seville (CES).

The day was inaugurated by the president of the Diputación de Sevilla, Fernando Rodríguez Villalobos, together with the mayor of La Rinconada, Javier Fernández, the president of CES, Miguel Rus; and the general director of Andalucía Económica, Alfredo Chávarri. During it, business associations were defined as a key element in the economic push and development element.

At the meeting, the main data on companies in the province of Seville was reported. In this regard, it was indicated that in September 2018, 265 mercantile companies were created in the province of Seville, 17.8 percent more than the previous year and 14.2 percent more than the previous month.

Regarding the export chapter, Seville doubled its exports in ten years and the number of exporting companies increased by 40 percent. `Being here, in La Rinconada and in Aerópolis, it is necessary to emphasize that it is an export success driven by the aeronautical sector, which in this period multiplied its sales by five´, said Rodríguez Villalobos.

On the other hand, for the president of the Sevillian businessmen, Miguel Rus, business associationism is `the way´ so that the interests and proposals of the businessmen `are heard with one voice´. Subsequently, a round table was held with the participation of the general secretary of the Association of Autonomous Entrepreneurs and Professionals of Seville (Aepas), María José Álvarez; the president of Fadeco Contratistas and of the Business Association of Morón de la Frontera, Rafael Sánchez Alcalá; the president of the Committee of Territorial Associations of the ETUC, Juan Pedro Calvente; the president of the Association of Sevillanas Businesswomen, María Sánchez; the president of the Hotel Association of Seville and Province, Manuel Córnax, and the president of the Business Association Rinconada Glob @ l, Francisco Prieto.
