Andalusian companies of the aeronautical sector meet the American aerospace market with Extenda

Presidency, Public Administration and Interior Regional Ministries organised this action in the US, a market that leads Andalusia with an increase in exports of 70% in 2018

A total of eleven Andalusian companies from the aerospace sector participated in the direct commercial mission to the United States,

which was held from April 1 to 5 in the states of Georgia, South Carolina and Alabama, organized by the Ministry of the Presidency, Public Administration and Interior, through Extenda-Andalusian Agency for Foreign Promotion.

The objective of this international promotion action, which had the support of the Business Promotion Offices of Extenda in Miami and New York, is to know first hand the aerospace sector in the area of ​​the east coast of EE .US. as well as to investigate the business opportunities that Andalusian companies participating in the area may have. This action is part of a program aimed at diversifying the markets of the sector that are usually centered on the European continent.

The community delegation visited the main companies in the aerospace sector and learned about the local auxiliary industry. Finally, this action consolidates the approach to this market developed in previous actions such as the mission organized last June that toured the cities of New York, Hartford (Connecticut), Savannah (Georgia), Orlando (Philadelphia) and Miami ( Florida).

On the other hand, the foreign trade figures of the sector are indicative of the importance of the market for the community, since Andalusia led aeronautical exports to the United States in 2018 with 51% of the total and an increase in sales of 70% compared to the previous year with 99 million euros.

Participants

The Andalusian companies that have traveled to the North American market come from Cádiz (Mechanized and Aeronautical Assemblies and Infasur Aeronautics), Malaga (Aertec Solutions) and Seville (Carbures Aerospace & Defense, Alestis Aerospace, Sofitec, Gazc Group, Ayesa Air Control Aeronautical Engineering, Potez Aeronáutica Ibérica, CITD Aeropolis and Sevilla Control). The organization of this action by Extenda will be co-financed with funds from the European Union through the P.O. ERDF of Andalusia 2014-2020, endowed with a community contribution of 80%.

Exports to the USA

Andalusia led aeronautical exports to the United States in 2018 with 51% of the total and an increase in sales of 70% compared to the previous year with 99 million euros. In this way, the North American country is the sixth destination market for Andalusian aeronautical sales, with 3.7% of the total.

After Andalusia is the Community of Madrid with 22% of the total (43 million) and Catalonia with 8.5% of the total (16.5 million). Likewise, Seville leads the market transactions with 97% of the total and an increase of 71%, followed by Córdoba with 2.2 million and an increase of 46% with respect to 2017
