I Magtel Foundation Awards for projects of social innovation, technological innovation and socio-labor insertion

The Magtel Foundation has convened the first edition of the Magtel Foundation Awards, which will recognize projects that have a positive impact on society in terms of innovation, equality, sustainability and technological development.

Under the slogan `For those who innovate for a better world´, these awards will reward the best initiatives in social innovation, technology and social and labour insertion.

The Awards are endowed with 3,000 euros and a commemorative distinction to be delivered at a public event organized by the Magtel Foundation on November 6, 2018 to honour the winning projects in each of the three categories convened.

The call that opened last June 15 will remain open until September 30, 2018 and people, entities and organizations both nationally and internationally can participate. The presentation of candidacies is online, through the website www.fundacionmagtel.es where you can find the complete bases and all the necessary information to participate.

The president of the Magtel Foundation, Auxiliadora López Magdaleno, highlighted in the presentation of the Awards `the vocation of permanence in time and contribute to projects that generate development and well-being´ and underlined `the commitment of the Foundation's Board of Trustees with the promotion of innovation and equal opportunities´.


In the category Promotion of Social and Labour Insertion, they will reward a project that promotes the social and labour inclusion of groups in situations or risks of social exclusion and social cohesion.

In the category of Social Innovation, they will recognize an initiative that promotes the improvement of the quality of life of groups in situations and / or risk of social exclusion with new technologies.

Lastly, in the category of Technological Innovation, the Prize will be for an initiative that proposes an innovative development or project, especially in the fields of renewable energies, telecommunications or the environment.

In the first two categories, the projects must be well underway, already completed, while in the Technological Innovation category, projects and ideas that have not yet started their development, but that stand out for their originality and innovative value, are also accepted.

Composition of the Jury

The Jury will be made up by the president of the Magtel Foundation and a group of people from outside the entity with a worldwide reputation in their professional fields, who will evaluate the candidacies submitted based on the criteria established in the bases: social impact, innovative value, viability, sustainability, effectiveness and efficiency. Once the assessment has been made and the winning projects have been selected, the decision will be made public within thirty days after the closing of the call.
