Geci increases the sales of its ADS-B GT280 system in the international arena

The company, established in Aerópolis, has sold more than 65 units in less than a year in three different countries

The company GECI has increased the international sales of its ADS-B GT280 system, specifically in India, Colombia and Indonesia.

Last year, the Civil Aviation of India (AAI) awarded GECI the turnkey contract for the installation and commissioning of ten fully redundant ADS-B systems GT280 model. This contract was executed in state of the art, for the airports of Bikaner, Indore, Aurangabad, Goa, Kadapa, Jabalpur, Hyderabad, Dhanbad, Mithapur and Campbell Bay. In view of the successful result, the AAI has recently awarded them the acquisition of five more systems, of the same model, in a completely redundant configuration that will be installed at the airports of Kolkata, Raipur, Agatti, Bengaluru and Biddappur Colony.

The GT280 has also been chosen by the Colombian company Airavatas S.A.S as the preferred system to carry out its turnkey contract for seven fully redundant ADS-Bs systems at seven airports in Colombia. The project is complemented with a Data Fusion System, treatment and preparation for representation of Asterix data in existing ATM systems, and will be located at the Aerocivil Control Center in Bogotá.

The airports where it will be implemented are: Benito Salas Airport - Neiva (Reg. Cundinamarca), Aerop. Santiago Perez Quiroz - Arauca (Reg. Nte de Santander), Rafael Nuñez Airport - Cartagena (Reg. Atlántico), El Alcaraván Airport - Yopal (Reg. Meta), Palonegro - Bucaramanga Airport (Nte de Santander Reg.), Antonio Nariño Airport -Pass (Reg. Valley) and El Caraño Airport - Quibdo (Reg. Antioquia).

The GT280 also has a high acceptance among civil aviation companies, and proof of this is the contract awarded by I-Tech. It is a turnkey contract for six ADS-Bs systems in six Indonesian airports (Kupang, Medan, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Pontianak and Merauke) and integration with the ATM systems of JATSC, MATSC and Sentani Jayapura.

The integration and manufacturing works of these last two contracts are already underway at the GECI facilities in El Puerto de Santa María and will be ready for acceptance and shipment to the client, at the end of June 2019.
